About Victor Claessen - Victor Claessen's homepage

Born in 1981 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Having finished my Chemistry study at the University of Leiden in 2006, I'm currently doing my PhD project on single enzyme kinetics at the University of Nijmegen. On the side I occasionally build some webpages and I've written a book on Visual Basic programming.

My personal interests include:

scuba diving

I hold a 3* diver certification in the NOB / CMAS system. According to the PADI system that would make me Dive Master.
So far I've logged 188 dives (as of 2011-08-12), totalling 150 hours and 23 minutes under water. I am a member of Sea You.

So far I've made 67 flights (as of 2010-10-01), totalling 160469 km, equalling 4.004 times around the world (equator).

These dive and flight statistics are just a chance to practice a bit with php and mysql, and are just meant for fun.
